The RelativeKEEPSAKES

WHEN YOU ARRIVED

Your family’s words stay personal

This working preview uses your Relative account. Please also read our main privacy notice for our contact details, service providers and privacy requests.

Who sees what

Your unsubmitted draft, original recording and transcript are available to you. The organiser sees the name, relationship, message and selected photograph you submit. Only the organiser can prepare and download the complete PDF, then choose who to share it with. The service team can access stored information when needed to operate the service or handle a support or privacy request.

Photos, voices and the baby’s details

An adult parent or guardian, or someone with their permission, creates the keepsake. Adults contribute for themselves or with permission from anyone they describe. Keep addresses, medical details and anything you would not want in the family newspaper out of your contribution.

Voice notes are sent to our transcription provider when you choose to transcribe them. Check the returned words before submitting. Written letters are not automatically rewritten.

Keeping and removing your information

Drafts, submitted letters, previous saved versions, photos, recordings and PDFs are kept while the keepsake is in use, until removal is requested. The organiser can delete the entire keepsake from its desk. For removal of your own contribution, use privacy help or your verified account request. Copies already downloaded or printed cannot be recalled.

Keep the invitation within your family. People who receive it can sign in and contribute, but cannot read other contributors’ entries.

A keepsake you look after

Download your finished PDF and keep your own copies. This preview does not include the family-newspaper backup cycle, eighteen-year online storage, or an email scheduled for an eighteenth birthday.
